“you are what you eat”

“You are what you eat” is a term we’ve all heard throughout the years.

My opinion of this phrase is, whatever you put into your system, you start to mirror. You become your environment. If you surround yourself with negative people who are always inviting that gray cloud to hover over them, eventually you will start seeing the negative side of life.

I have noticed in myself that when I stay committed to getting up early, working out, keeping a clean house, and thinking about what the greatest thing was that happened in my day (no matter how small), I am energized, positive and ready to take on whatever life throws me.

When I give life to all the horrible things that have happened in the lives of others including myself, it’s harder to get out of bed, harder to sleep, my stress and anxiety go through the roof and I forget the good things around me.

I think what we all forget is..

“bad stuff happens to good people”

you can either let it destroy you or build you up.

So today, get back up, dust yourself off and start again tomorrow.

Surround yourself by the good in life and that’s what you’ll see!
